More Psychotic Behaviour
This time, it’s the President himself. I know the story’s all over the place — and rightly so, because holy shit that’s fucked up — but I just want to add one little thing.
A couple of weeks ago, The Brattle Theatre showed Escape From New York as part of a “Welcome to the Grindhouse” series. It’s an awesome movie, of course, but my point is that this behaviour from Bush reminds me very much of the scene where Isaac Hayes’ character has the President tied up and is tormenting him by firing Snake’s gun and deliberately missing.
President Bush has become the Duke of New York. An insane criminal warlord who beats his chest and shouts to the world how big and tough he is.
That’s almost as fucked up as Chris Matthews’ creepy BDSM fantasy about Rudy Giuliani. Is there anybody on the right wing who’s not batshit insane?
