The Adventures of Tobasco da Gama

It’s a good thing I subscribe to Phil Plait’s Twitter feed, because I almost forgot that Space Shuttle mission STS-117 is scheduled to launch tonight!

There are about 30 minutes left, and so far everything looks good. I guess weather at the first two abort sites in the UK and Spain makes them unavailable, but as far as I know that doesn’t necessarily indicate a launch cancellation. There are others in Europe.

Phil’s Twitter page is being constantly updated with the latest info. Phil’s blog has some more details for anybody who wants to watch live on NASA TV.
